Since I still buy RPG's, but mostly in PDF form, and only for reading entertainment, I'm not sure.

JW, have you ever listened to The Adventure Zone podcast?

No, haven't listened to that one. Is it good?

I like it -- I'm not a D&D person but it's amazing narrative.

Are there RPGS for VERY small groups? My son loves D&D as do I, but getting other people on board is not easy. Plus I don't always want to DM. Surely someone came up with some other alternatives?

Or alternatively, is there a modern version of WoW we could play once he gets his new mega laptop? I don't really love

1. The idea of the $12 a month or whatever it is.
2. The fact that my friends were complaining about the lousy quality of graphics back in 2005 WHEN HE WAS BORN. Isn't there something better?

Formerly Remy Martin
we should get a spork discord and find a game to play. Maybe Star Wars: The Old Republic? Guild Wars 2 is free to play. Final Fantasy XIV is pretty good by now I hear. Destiny 2 doesn't have much of a story, but there is a lot of fun content available for people who want to play together.

What a journey.
I just can't get into game playing since console controllers. I got too hooked on mouse/keyboarding. I loathe game controllers.

I tried to get by with a trackball and one finger. It was surprising how often I actually 0wned (can't even remember how the kiddies say that) people in pvp on WoW - but people quickly learned that I move in big curving arcs and then I was toast...

Star Wars the Old Republic is famous for the ridiculous limitations that it puts on free players. Elder Scrolls Online is a decent MMO with less restrictive requirements for free players. I've heard good things about Rift, but haven't played in a long time. I THINK that their free-to-play experience is decent.

I have an older MacBook Air 11” that I’m thinking of putting on Craigslist. It’s pretty durn slow. But I’m thinking that maybe there is some alternate role for it? Could it be a Chromebook? Could I run something stripped down on it somehow?

What about Starcraft? That's now free right?
