Polished up my grammar a bit...

Since there was no real thread for useless but nonetheless

Okay, sharing in a safe space.

I am with Colin Kapernick (sp?) and support his right to protest and I think his heart is in the right place. I also recognize the cultural significance of and appreciate his hair.

But I cannot stop wondering how he gets it all in a football helmet? Churlish to ask.

36 U.S. Code § 301 - National anthem
all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and
(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.

Failure is pre-greatness.
"Should" not "Shall". Critical distinction.

They passed a lot of laws in the 50's to combat godless communism by establishing numerous fetishistic rituals around the flag.

I have a lot of respect for the flag, but it is not more important than our Constitution and what that document stands for.

I was SURPRISED to have learned about that this past week. I never thought hand over heart was the preferred way. Only for PoA.
And of course I had never presupposed it was an actual legal whateveryoucallit.

They likely are more of a money manager than the top XXXX number of banks, fund managers, etc. With that much cash, they are likely the biggest/best. Or should be.

This is brilliant.

For some reason, bicycles in big cardboard boxes have a tendency to get dropped, bashed or crushed by delivery companies, which has spurred Dutch manufacturer Vanmoof into action to find a solution.

What did they do? Instead of putting a picture of a bike on the box they printed a picture of a large flatscreen TV instead and saw instances of delivery damage drastically reduce.

I had to listen with the sound down, but how does one grab the fuselage of a vehicle crashing at hundreds, if not thousands, of miles per hour without denting the fuselage in any way? Very carefully, I guess.

All the Super-whatevers are too super for me. They end up having to make up all sorts of weird vulnerabilities for them, and everybody they know is at perpetual hostage risk, just to keep the story interesting. I am becoming more interested in low-power superheros. Jessica Jones really impressed me. I need to watch the Luke Cage series.
