Polished up my grammar a bit...

Since there was no real thread for useless but nonetheless
interesting links I thought I'd create one.

What a journey.
there are so many variations on that. So, visited my sister for first time in NoCal (NorCal?) whatevs. I actually visited DDT first in my entire life, before visiting my sister, in my entire life. :)
In June. Beautiful area; the parts not on fire. Seriously beautiful.
They have a take that their part of Cali and people, are very different than the SF south to the border parts. She says this, and had been raised in Palm Desert, and I think Guadalajara, Mexico.
So, the unified Cali above I'm not sure about. borders alone... sure...

Johnny K, what's the update on your desk project? I found myself looking at https://www.fully.com/standing-desks/jarvis/jarvis-adjustable-height-desk-bamboo.html

Eh, back burner while I hit a mental block. Probably will finish it by end of year when I'll need it myself. Certainly not going to be an adjustable desk with a 150-lb slate top, but maybe a standing version eventually.
https://www.upliftdesk.com/ here in Austin also gets good reviews — a friend has one. These popular desks all seem so similar that I wonder who in China is cranking out the mechanism.

It's from a few years back, but I find this art installation and accompanying music so hauntingly beautiful; https://vimeo.com/72459404

The making of the art can be viewed in this clip: https://vimeo.com/70897666

I've not seen this in person. I'd like to see an animated illustration as to how that device works.

Lol. I like how in the first clip the guy moves the camera up to the girls face until he remembers he was filming something else.

Not sure where to share this, so I'll abuse this thread here.

Coming Tuesday we're going to the Analogues, a Beatles tribute band that's perfecting the way to perform the studio albums of The Beatles. They're now performing the White Album, on YouTube there's this video of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYxB_RTNnbc Their performance in Liverpool during international Beatle week last September was received pretty well.

A nice documentary about the band is found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5aD87iJikg

Can you tell I'm a Beatles fan?

If you're so inclined Bill, there's still 2 tickets for the show in Amsterdam coming Thursday. If you book a flight, I'll get the tickets for the Carré Theater.
