Glad Peter Dinklage won an Emmy. Season 2, 3 and 4 all had emmy-worthy performances by him as well...

Yup! Not to mention outstanding dramatic series.

Yup, I watched that Hardhome episode again when I got the HD GOT episodes via iTunes.

Hardhome and Breaking Bad's Ozymandias are, in my biased opinion, the two best hours of TV ever made.

Broadchurch season 1 was the best TV I have seen in a LONG TIME.
In case anyone has not watched it.

This is interesting. yes.

I like Jennier Ehle--I thought she was good in the BBC's Pride and Prejudice in the mid-90s, and was wonderful on Broadway in the 2000 revival of Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing (in the role that Glenn Close played opposite Jeremy Irons int he 1983 original). So I'm intrigued by the suggestion that she might have been part of the problem with the original pilot.

I did not know that the same person directed The Station Agent and Spotlight (a must-see movie).

Tim van Patten (who ended up being credited) is the son of Dick van Patten, and was the assistant wrestling coach at my high school. He got his first directing job (I think -- at least an early one) directing episodes of The White Shadow, which shot some scenes at my high school.

Will see it. Really liked the station agent.

I was so irritated by the end of last season that I didn't exactly go into this season with an open mind. I'm still watching, but my general level of excitement is way down. That being the case, I think it's understandable that I would respond to a table-setting episode with something less than enthusiasm.

Australia doesn't have a piracy problem. Australia has a distribution problem. More specifically: Australia has a Foxtel problem.

Beautifully put.
