It's not just for iPhone anymore. This time it's personal.

A new thread to discuss all things IOS.

iPhone, iPod and iPad...

Baha, if the older iPad was running an older version of iOS than the new one, and you didn't update the apps, they may not run on the new one. Conversely, if you had the older iPad updated to iOS 8 and the new one had iOS 7, the updated apps might not load on the older OS. Only thought I have.

What a journey.

yeah, ALL my apps f'd up on my iPad… life goes on, though….. I've recently had a lot of apps just quit. And my "Simple TV" app starts, and LOOKS like it quits, but really kind of goes back behind everything else. Strange.

I had apps stuck in an installing state. 8.0.2 A lot of wiggling back and forth between power on and power off eventually restarted the process. Something is a bit broken. So too is Safari. On either iPhone or iPad or even Mac sometimes! I can shut down all the windows and then try to load a new one and it takes forever to appear, sometimes doesn't even. Crazy.

What a journey.
Just got back home from fall break in Florida. The biggest surprise was my iPad mini maps app showing our location while we drove.
Not sure HOW. need to research that. Kinda neat. Suspect "known" wifi network names.

Hm, using iOS as your GPS direction tool? LITERALLY via con iOS.

Yes, hoping good things for 8.1. For once, I'm waiting to pludge (tm: arstechnica message boards). Still not on Yo!Semite!

The combination if an iPad Air 2 or an iPhone 5s and iOS 8.1 was very annoying. I had to reboot WiFi connections from time to time to maintain internet connectivity. The new 8.1.1 seems to have fixed it. Plus, there is just a hint of speed improvement.

It's airdrop. Turn it off.

Thanks for the tip, but everything is nice and stable for the moment.

Is there a reason that scrubbing in the iOS video player app is still so craptastic? I mean, seriously.

Been trying it for a few days, about ready to replace Mail and Calendar on my home screen.

Try asking Siri what you should ask Tim Cook.

seems to be draining my 4s battery very quickly. Turned off background app updates, one by one by one. Charging.

I'll wait for 9.1 thanks...

Upgraded to iOS9 and it went fine, but now I launch Podcasts, it says "Updating Library..." and crash. Launch again, "Updating Library..." and crash.

Help! That's an app I use every day.

Oddly, Podcasts on the iPad is fine (but I have never synched playlists on it).
