It's not just for iPhone anymore. This time it's personal.

A new thread to discuss all things IOS.

iPhone, iPod and iPad...

Not yet, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

I am getting increasingly annoyed at a tendency of both web apps and native apps on iOS to assume that landscape mode means that I want to see an undismissable menu on the left side of my screen, ensuring that I can't see any more of my content than I could if I left the device in portrait mode.

Since upgrading to iOS 9, my iPad Air always loads Spork as a column, using only half the screen's width. Almost as though it was rendering it for an iPhone screen. Odd.

Nothing special is being done for mobile on the Spork theme. I have seen some odd rendering when people post long links or unbroken text.

Since the behavior changed with the iOS update, the problem is certainly with my end. I don't know if my user agent has changed, or if it is just a Web Kit issue coming to the fore.

FYI, switched to AT&T Wireless Calling as soon as it was available. Found out today that it was causing all calls to me to terminate immediately, regardless of whether I was on a WiFi network or the strength of any network that it was on. Turned off the setting and eveything was fine again.

This is kind of neat. In a, "Hey I can see Windows 10 running on my iPad screen," kind of way.

Finally! I wonder how Location Services will change to expose this?

"When location becomes 'Master Bedroom' play random from playlist 'Barry White's Greatest Hits.'"

It is for large venues like Malls, Museums, etc. right now. I expect it will be opened to any business in the future but right now they are still refining it a bit.

I dropped my iPhone. Probably the fifth time that I've dropped a phone since the first iPhone came out. The phone is fine. But I seriously think that I've broken my big toe. Stupid gravity. Stupid, giant iPhones.
