It is gorgeous to watch. I like how the camera takes its time on a scene.

I'm about halfway through the second episode of American Gods. Kind of surprised by how surreal a lot of the scenes are. The book read differently for me, though many bizarre and outré events transpired. They must be trying to make the show feel more magical/less mundane than a literal description of events would be. Or I am not remembering the book correctly.

Carpool Karaoke to premier August 8. I'm so *yawn* excited...

Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær!
Went and saw Puddles Pity Party tonight. That was one of the most fun shows I've ever been to.

Hey, anybody realize that Apple rolled out the premier of "Planet of the Apps" Tuesday night at 11:30pm with no fanfare? Me, either!

Really fills me with confidence about their upcoming video offerings.

Sounds like it was awful.

So much so that we all forgot there was a thread in Spork about it.

Like every other cooking show. Except Archer's Bastard Chef.

Have you ever watched Iron Chef?

Now that's a cooking show...

On a tangent, did anyone watch the Jim Jefferies show?

I like most (but not all) of his humour, but was curious how it translates to an American audience.

What a journey.
Anyone here ever been ON a TV (game) show?

Not on a game show. "Suck it, Trebek!"

I was on the local public kids' variety show once, Wallace and Ladmo in Phx. They always had a small audience of kids, but I did get some real screen time because I won a Ladmo Bag.

My wife was a frequent extra when she lived in L.A. Labcoat and test tubes in CSI, someone with a clipboard in Blades of Glory.

Clipboards are the real power. Carry one with authority, and you can get in anywhere.

I've been on CNBC twice, been in a few commercials, but on a bike so no face time.

I was on a local interest "news" show, which featured high school students talking about the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the subsequent boycott of the Moscow Olympics by the US. I was the only one who knew any history or international politics, so I got a lot of camera time. I was for the boycott and no doubt swayed a huge number of people to my beliefs as an 18-year-old high school student ranting about the invasions of Hungary and Czechoslovakia at 7am on a Sunday morning.

Ah, the passion of youth...

I was on a trashy current affairs show about 6 years ago complaining about parking meters. Been in the papers a few times.

I guess the lesson we can learn from all this? You can be any dumb mook and be on TV.
