Spork Template

So, those of you clamoring for that Spork look and feel, go to your "Control Center", click "Forum Settings" and choose the "Spork Template v1.0".

Note that this choice will only affect the "Spork Central" forum - all the rest are set to use the MacEdition theme for branding purposes.

Please tell me your suggestions about this theme and its' behavior in this thread.

Functionality features/bugs should still go in their own threads.

Oh, and once you make the change, you'll have to navigate to the "Spork Boards" to see it, and maybe refresh to clear the stale CSS.

would it be better to discuss feature requests for spork central template under that?

it's really great, thanks. this may work out after all.

my biggest gripe is the

Forum List Message List New Topic Print View Search
Mark Read Follow Topic RSS
Log Out Control Center Private Messages Recent Messages

stuff at the bottom.

that and all the fugly new avatars. liked the old ones better.

I haven't quite figured out what to do with the shite at the bottom.

It doesn't map 1:1 with the features that occupied that space in WebX, and since I didn't have a "Check Subs" feature to put a button there for, I just left the default buttons/links.

If I'm able to put together a Check Subs, you can be sure that the buttons there will be closer to the old WebX.

Magnificent. Thanks, Tom.

Looking at all those links at the bottom I can only see one that we could definitely get rid, print view. The others are all ones that someone may want to use.

Forum List and Message List are also redundant, as they are the same thing as what the breadcrumb puts a little lower.

As an admin/moderator there are even more buttons down there ;(

I hope it's apparent that I want the thing to work as much the same as you folks do.

well, i am getting some of the Phorum code below the published posts and above the Post message box. If it is still here tomorrow while i am at work, i will print the page to PDF to send, if you want. Other than that, it looks great.

Can you change the edited stamp at the bottom of posts to differentiate it from the post content? I think if it was in italics and maybe a slightly smaller font it would be different enough.

Sorry about the var dump - nobody should have seen that, since it was in HTML comments. Weird.

I can't change the style of the edit text easily - it happens below the templates. I might be able to do it in the language settings, but I dunno yet.

I did a search for iPhone template. That'd be neat to browse hear in iPhone pimped templates.

All avatars should have an 8px rounded corner treatment.
You can do it yourself simply at www.picnik.com

I hacked the english language file to put the edited text into a classed span, and I've applied 80% italic css to it.

Is clicking on the little red flags in Spork Central supposed to take me to the first new post? It doesn't seem to (Safari 2.0.4). It takes me to the right page (well, almost every thread is still on one page), but I have to scroll down.
