Not parody. Ignore the talking heads on it - AR/VR will be a fundamental device UI+interaction change.

Maybe after, when there's more time. Cliff Notes version: Too many human actions are in the service of translating the real world into something the device understands. When the device already understands those things, the user gets to focus on the results instead of the mechanics.

Dear iPad, you had me at, "Hello."

"Files" app for iPad looks like a total UI disaster, the kind of thing Steve would've not just laughed out of the room but fired everyone responsible for. This company desperately needs a UI czar.

Dock and file viewer for iPad. It's the En-Mac-ening!

Files is the TV of non-video content: de-emphasizing the individual silos (apps) in favor of the content they provide.

"Post-PC" isn't looking as post as it did before.

Steve's dead.

The multitouch drag-n-drop UI is amazing. Maybe difficult, but interesting to finally see a Minority Report-like two-handed UI.

I will say that exposing a distributed filesystem viewport is far more interesting in practical use than it is in presentation.

I won't disagree about the UI issues. Apple's been corrupting the cleanliness and simplicity of iOS for a while; this is just more of the same. It DOES make the iPad more interesting to me. Won't be long before we have XCode on the iPad.

Well I am sure Sonos is un-happy as my guess is they won't be carried in the stores any more.

OWC has been rolling back promises/expectations for their DEC MacBook Pro enhancement, or at least the ones that I can find, but I hope that Metal 2's external graphics support means that the DEC will include high-end graphics and cooling. I can get my bolt-on BBMBP, and Apple can sell their anorexic model.
