Ha, I'm still telling myself that one day I'll get back to the PS2 games I still should finish but my PS3 (which has PS2 compatibility) is just gathering dust... .

I keep meaning to build a RetroPie console for myself. I feel like I'd play a lot more old games if I could do it easily on my TV.

Damn you, johnny k! Spending all of my free time in MiniMetro. It doesn't help that it is playable online for free.

Hm, if you like the visual style (maybe it's just the squares) and short puzzles, Thomas Was Alone on iOS is a good "do this stage, put it down" game.

Huh... this actually looks like The City. It's supposed to include Marin and Oakland as well.

Looks like Nudle (and shouldn't it be "Nudl"?) is the new Hooli.

I wish we could get the GTA IV/GTA V/and Watchdog folks together and create a seriously huge open world city. No over-the-top violence, no story driving things, just a city to walk, drive, hang-glide around in.

I've played a little Overwatch. The guys at work are trying to get me to play more.

Never played Destiny (or seen it played) but this is an interesting talk about designing its UI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp4NZ8i80QI

I could not care less about Pokemon Go, but I'd like to use AR in a similar way. I want to be able to wander around my neighborhood and see full-sized dinosaurs. Not to capture or train or anything, but more like bird-watching. The app could even mark off the species that I've sighted. "The Johnsons have a plesiosaur in their pool!" Hell, we could even see dinosaurs hunting each other, or fighting.

Sounds like it's time for another collaboration.

I have no interest in playing Pokemon Go but I've enjoyed watching other people get excited about it.

My thought is that this would have been a Killer App for Google Glass if it had come out a few years earlier.

Technically, Glass isn't dead, right? Last I read, it's under Fadell's group at... Alphabet? Not technically Google?

Though that does raise an interesting question. Was it just timing that kept AR games from Glass, in that the buzz around that popped up after Glass became passé? Or was Glass seen by its owners as sooooo "important" and "transformative" that games might undermine that message? They did try to make Glass about social (but Google + social == notgood).

Loaded Pokemon Go, walked around my neighborhood for a little bit, got to Level 5, tried the gym at my local library, instantly lost before I knew what was happening.
