Heavy handed idiots...

I hope there's a class-action lawsuit against the music industry when people "suspected" of copyright infringement are cut off from the internet without proper cause.

Good god, how do you police such a thing and who the hell has to PAY for this, it better not be the average law-abiding user.

But the Minister for the Arts, Peter Garrett, welcomed the payment: "This decision means that at last working musicians and songwriters will receive a fair return for their work, which brings so much pleasure to so many."

That's almost too funny. Do you think they will see ANY of this?

It may not be directly related to legislation, but it does deal with online rights.

The free publicity Wilders has gotten is just utterly unbelievable. There's talk about this movie for at least 5 months now and nobody has seen as much as a second of it. This is going to be fun!

Hmmm...

Bit-Torrent user = terrorist jihadist. Nice.

A legally bought and owned DVD I watched the other day had the same offensive message. Really tempted to make a complaint about it.

actually the dont specifically mention BT in that article. I dont think they referring individual pirates because they dont profit from what they (in a monetary sense) but more the organised DVD pirates etc.
