I decided it would be fun to add to my health problems by getting a gallstone. Damn, those are not fun. I knew nothing about the gallbladder until I ended up in the ER. I always thought it was that part of Spain that sticks down into the Mediterranean Sea....Worst pain I can remember. Ended up in the hospital for a couple days.Get to go back at the end of the month and get it remove

Porruka,
I am very sympathetic to smaller refiners, but my guess is what you will find is that the margins became too low for them to operate. some may not have been able to cover compliance (summer and winter blends, etc). some may not have had enough capital to stay current. If you aren't making money by selling the oil to the gas refiners, there really isn't that much to be made i

QuoteMokersI am sure it is much more profitable for the refinery companies to refine oil rather than let them sit idle.
That would be true if the refiners were truly independent entities. Given that the majority of refining capacity is actually owned and manipulated by the crude suppliers, one has to look at the overall vertical profitability, not just one piece.

again, I always have note my astonishment with one of my uncles, who worked for one employer for 60 years.
But again, what do people here think is the ideal length of service to an/single employer?
Ideal? I think that's impossible to say. There are all these noises about us moving to a freelance society, but as a general trend, I find it difficult to determine if that's a cause or

Well, after just getting settled in (less than 9 months) I got "the call" today... the company I'm working for is in dire financial straits. The fat lady hasn't sung yet, but she's just offstage awaiting her cue.
So starts the hunt anew... at least I officially have current iOS in the mix this time.

I find it interesting that FWD.us is fragmenting, first campaign out of the gate.

This particular binary is of general use most of the year in US places other than Northern Nevada... between November and May it shows Washoe County specific info. (A national version will probably be released soon.)

Taking the statements and the rebuttals at face value (dangerous, I know, but no time to independently confirm each one), it's amazing how many rebuttals boil down to "That's a lie. The opposite is true."

We tend to be active longer during the summer (sometimes without realizing it) due to greater outdoor activity and longer daylight hours, for example.
From what I can tell, fluctuations tend to be very individual, so really, start keeping track not just of food, but exercise, events, etc. (or review the notes if you already have been). Look for patterns.

The summer/winter cycle is normal biology, though I do understand the side-effects of many drugs include weight issues.
Keep a food and activity log (there are apps for it or just use a notebook). You may find yourself snacking (or snacking on different stuff) when you don't realize it, or work dinners, or working lunches, or some other variation that would be subtle because it's being driven by

Good thing we have experts in the fold... heh.
AFA pacing, it may seem otherwise at times, but GoT (and most of the shows of this ilk) really aren't traditional TV series, they're more akin to miniseries. Some parts of the story arcs inevitably fall into lull to prepare for the next wave. Speaking of waves,

No, it's not The Onion but with a quote like:
QuoteIn Holmes County, a posse allegedly broke into a home, lopping off the hair and whiskers of everyone inside, including a 13-year-old-girl and 74-year-old man.
you'd be forgiven for thinking so.

Quoteddt my example was more of "can we at least agree on this?".
The thing is, no, not really. I might be willing to support some pretty radical ideas if there were high likelihood of success, but this (admittedly, with a few exceptions) smacks of security theater and to me, that's worse than doing nothing at all.

So,... apropos of nothing current, I finally managed to get a magic trackpad. It's going to take some getting used to, I think. Those of you who have them, what do you use for a wrist rest, or do you? My mouse pad+rest not only interferes with the click, but the pad forces my hand too high to effectively swipe the trackpad... thoughts? Am I just using it wrongly?

I agree on all those points. Though I think "must be kept in a locked box/cabinet/credenza/whatever and not loaded, with bullets elsewhere" is a common-sense regulation, on the par with regulations on fire safety, electrical wiring, keeping unsafe cars off the road until repaired, etc.

I'm going to be a contrarian here for a moment on the "rural guns and kids" issue because I grew up in the deep south.
* Leaving the gun in a corner of a room is not responsible storage of the gun, loaded or not. Double-plus bad (double minus?) or it being left loaded.
* A 5-year old *may* be old enough to "own" his or her own gun, but that doesn't mean it needs to be within reach at all times.

As to whether a good deal or not, you'll have to do some research. It might be. But before you do, the 4 was particularly restricted by model; make sure what original carrier it was on before you buy it to make sure it will work with whatever service you want it to.
