Bill, if you liked the writing (I cannot watch Spielberg movies, I admit), you can check out Tony Kushner's famous "Angels in America", and read Doris Kearns Goodwin's "Team of Rivals". Kushner wrote the screenplay, and the story was based on Goodwin's research. And I'd recommend looking up her appearances on the Daily Show and/or Colbert. A friend of mine met her, and said she is a blast in perby ddt - Spork Central

Well, I don't know if this is props to the author, the screenwriters, or the actors (the actors definitely nailed it), but the "don't be greedy" line reading was genuinely fantastic. I don't know if actual parents feel that way at that moment, but I'd like to think so. ddtby ddt - Spork Central

Some large progressive groups are pulling their ads on FB in protest of Zuck's choice of some partners. Looks like Elon Musk is out, too. Granted, they were pretty blatant about how self-centered their "forward" causes were. Sorry, baha, just reading all the connections and devices above made me dizzy. Long-shot ask: Anyone in the SF bay area have a spare laptop they can loan/lease out for a month? That's interesting... replacing/adjusting disc brakes on my mountain bike (Avid hydraulics) is much more of a pain. Once you have the bike secure in a stand, you have to do things like loosen the rotor and caliper bolts, spin the thing for a while, clamp down on the brake lever a few times, tighten things up only _so_ tight, and then... the rotor drags. ddtby ddt - Spork Central
