I'll be looking at the MacEdition template changes later this week.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Ah. If that's the case, the Favicon for Spork is active in that theme. I haven't made a new MacEdition favicon yet.by tomierna - Feature Requests
There is now a big, vivid link on the Olde Sporke Boardes.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Stan, I'm not sure what you're saying here. Can you clarify what template you are using (Spork or MacEdition) and which Icon you have trouble with? As mentioned in other posts, I want to simplify the cluster of icons in the Spork template that appear vaguely where the "Check Subscriptions" button used to be, but I'm going to delay that until I create a working "Check Subscriptions" mod for thiby tomierna - Feature Requests
The Spork template, being in flux, is not yet w3 compliant. That may be where the crashiness comes in.by tomierna - Feature Requests
tliet: In WebX, the Subject would be redundant. In Phorum, you can have a unique subject per message regardless of the thread's subject. (See right above the post box, where it says "Re: Simplified Template/Layout" - you can change that if you want) I know it seems redundant, but I didn't want to delete it because then people who use a different template might see different information than thoby tomierna - Feature Requests
Nope. CSS bug, I think. I'll try to track it down tomorrow.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Hi, Tony. I've made a change to the Spork template to put the signature under the avatar. However, in your Control Center, if you have "Add my Signature to this Message" set to automatically check (or if you have checked that box when posting) the signature will appear twice, once at the top and once at the bottom. This is as a result of the auto-signature happening well before the template ruby tomierna - Feature Requests
OK, I made the alt background color #f4f4f4, and removed the line at the top of the message body.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Can you let me know if it's still doing it, John? There's a bad ad in the footer. I've removed it from the forums here, but not from the main new.macedition.com templates.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Just making thing as close as I can to what they were...by tomierna - Feature Requests
As tliet requested on the old board, you now only have 15 minutes to edit your post.by tomierna - Feature Requests
I've removed the categories on the left side and put the link there.by tomierna - Feature Requests
I merged these two because they were similar. I took out the right sidebar google search and replaced it with the forum search which was in the upper right of the center content column. I've also removed the categories on the left and replaced them with a couple of links, including the link to the old spork boards.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Roger, I think I'm going to handle this by creating a special Spork Boards theme. I've got a message in at the support forum because I think you are actually supposed to be able to set a user template preference when multiple templates are available. At the moment, there should be two in that list, which seems to be missing from the control center. There is some visual clutter I hope to removeby tomierna - Feature Requests
font-size is now 85%, same as on Spork.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Baha, there are ads in the header and footer of Oldspork as well. The ads on the sides may go; depending on how I am able to handle the requests in another section. The good news is that each forum can have its' own template, and I think it's possible to enable template choices for users. I'll probably be making a really stripped down WebX-clone for the "Spork Boards" forum. These templates incby tomierna - Feature Requests
I wasn't really quite sure what you guys were talking about, so I took a stab at fixing it within the boundaries of the new software. First, the old WebX's "Top Level View" looked something like this to most of you: That looks pretty flat - only the "Spork Central" has any active discussions that meant anything to anyone. Trouble is, for me, and staff, and other special groups, the "Top Levelby tomierna - Feature Requests
Sizing may be a bit different, but now the font-family should be the same.by tomierna - Feature Requests
How about now? It was 80px tall, now it's 65px tall.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Woof. This is going to be an interesting challenge. In the meantime, I've enabled a Mod called "Recent Messages". If you look at the top right of the header, you should see a Recent Messages link, which will put you on a configurable page of messages recently posted.by tomierna - Feature Requests
I've turned on the BBCode Module which handles autolinks. I can either leave the BBCode toolbar on or off. Right now it's on.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Hmm. Perhaps I spoke too soon - that seems to have broken regular HTML.by tomierna - Feature Requests
Or, now that I've installed the "SmartURL" module, it would be a YES!by tomierna - Feature Requests
Are you looking for the "top level" to look more like this? I can certainly change the template for the Topic view to have less information, but I'm wondering why you wouldn't be able to bookmark the top-level of the Forum on here that you're interested in? For instance, if you made a bookmark to here, you'd see a list of all of the Community Topics in Spork Central.by tomierna - Feature Requests
At the moment, "Following a Topic" does two things, that I can ascertain: 1) It places it in a list which you can see in your "Control Center" for management 2) It allows you to receive an e-mail every time there is a change to the topic. I don't think #2 is applicable, so I may remove that option completely - I don't know of any reason why people would want *more* email from a system like thisby tomierna - Feature Requests
Where would you think would be a good place for it on the page?by tomierna - Feature Requests
I'll go first. Check Subscriptions. I want it too. This will be a bit of time in coming though, because I will probably have to make my own Phorum Mod to do it. I'll be learning about the internals of a system I've only just installed a couple of days ago!by tomierna - Feature Requests
So, this isn't WebX. But, it isn't a bad start, either. What about Phorum don't you like? What do you think it needs? Some of your requests will be as easy as changing a template or a style, and some will be more difficult, but I want to accomodate. Phorum is very feature-rich without being the flashy-dashboard-of-death that plagues so many other BB systems. It's also very modular! Post a nby tomierna - Feature Requests
