I think it's simple enough, but it isn't dead simple, especially if the person setting it up doesn't know the CMS. The biggest problem with any of these things is that if the ISP updates stuff (and one day it will), things can fuck up royally. admittedly it is easier now that it used to be. how about ebay?

Yahoo is offering up an all-you-can-eat hosting plan for $12/month.

Unlimited storage. Unlimited bandwidth.

The first thing that came to mind for me was whether or not you could set up a WebDAV system or something like that and use the unlimited storage to hold your Time Machine backups.

Ooh! Scary! Scary! Don't we look mean? You can't see me! But I can see you!
Any word on the MS to buy Yahoo thing?

CS, sounds like a good opportunity for a savvy person to package and kind of resell to tech-unsavvy individuals (which you make into a de facto group). put an easy front end onto it, etc.

You could just use GarageBand. It easily does this job.

what's the easiest way to set up my maudio keyboard for my 5 year old and go. garageband is good, but it's hard to swap the instruments and i hate having to open a file just to run it. i'd like her to be able to just site there and bang awy.

dpbd: looks like my inkjet printer died. what are youse guys' favorite review sites for new printers?

I dunno, for home/office use -- the world is rapidly moving toward printers priced so low that there are not worth buying more than one or two new carts for and those that are "fully loaded" -- often at the SAME TIME: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/printer-pma-2008,review-1057-4.html

For specialized photo proofing I'm sure there are better models available...

well, looks like the problem with my old dual usb ibook wasn't the airport card but deeper. is it easier to remove the whole MB from an ibook to one with good optical drive or to have them move the optical drive? No real data on the HD in my ibook, and not sure if Mokers wiped his HD before sending it out to me.

TPBD - how do you get port fowarding enabled for either X11 terminal or regular terminal or iTerm?

Steve, I think there's a system-wide Airport Prefs in a folder called ByHost. Try looking for that.

Anyone need an upgrade disc for Aperture?

I have an edu license and it's not upgradeable -- the fucks. I always get to upgrade my Adobe edu licenses.

So, Apple Aperture 2.0 upgrade disc. Normal Aperture 1.x license required to use.
