Just saw info that MIA (london born artist/singer) was at one time (rumored to have been) banned from entering the US based on her ties or such to Tamil/Tigers???
I have no idea who she is. Anyone here heard of her?

If you hadn't heard of her, why are you interested? :)
Her father was one of the political leaders/fundraisers of the Tigers, and she's a public supporter. Can't recall offhand exactly what she may have done to get banned, but I recall from a profile that she's vocal and ignorant about the issue. If you can get kicked out of the country for tweeting "We're going to destroy America" when you're clearly a partygoing Brit, nothing would surprise me.

she is playing superbowl halftime show. I was searching the web. Saw that tweet. Pretty simple.
I have never heard of her before I knew she was here, in Indy, playing halftime show. Just trying to find out stuff about her.
She has like five 'fake' bodyguards I have it on good authority, too.

If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name
If you come around here, I make 'em all day
I get one down in a second if you wait

Tremendous game, tremendous night, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared the evening with my dad (who is 75). The only down note is the apparent loss of all my photographs (see the "Sporkers Helping Sporkers" thread), but the memory of my dad's smile is burned into my mind regardless.

So proud of my adopted home city. No doubt some breaks went Indy's way--in particular, the weather was about as good as a February week can be (with one dismal, rainy day on Saturday). But the whole thing was brilliantly organized, and every Super Bowl worker I came in contact with (and there were lots over the week, and especially the weekend) was unfailingly helpful and cheerful. Even the security checkpoint before getting to the stadium--which easily could have been a nightmare--was a breeze, almost a pleasant experience. I won't miss being wished "a Super day" at every turn, but really, to all concerned, just a brilliant job.

Not posting this is to be competitive to Johnny K's project, but I thought the image was amusingly relevant:

Speaking of T-shirts - how long will overseas shipments take?

johnny k – February 12, 2012 06:21AM Reply Quote
Maybe two weeks... pretty expensive to ship at any speed. I haven't even gotten one of the shirts yet myself! My buddy did a good job.
Visited the Bay Area this week. Sorry for not saying hello, Bayers (anyone other than DDT?). It was superquick and had to cram in a lot in two days. We'll be back soon.

It's a week late, thanks to my little unreadable SD card issue, but here is my Super Bowl experience.
