I really like synology stuff, but they can be picky with your network setup. If you want good speeds, make sure to use a gigabit router/switch

Thanks to Tom and all of you for another good year of Sporkicity. This time, you even put your money where your mouth is and helped me launch something big. Got a bit of a bump in the last few days from a big tech blog in Brazil and the blessing of Ashton Kutcher (as tweeted to his 9 million followers). 4 more days, and with some help I think we might hit $500K. I'm trying to show non-geeks how connecting things can be neat, so I made another video.

I think it's awesome that our group is this tight. You being the first to back Twine makes the 'virtual community' not seem virtual at all. Happy new year!

What a journey.
seconded.
Although I have not experienced any bumps of any kind. That might be a good thing. Especially a Brazilian bump if it's anything akin to how my Brazilian girlfriend was.

I can't wait for 2012. What with twine stringing it's way in my direction, and the Lytro shortly after.
I'm glad we have this nice low-volume place to keep grounded. I mostly read Metafilter and Reddit these days, but the first one isn't conversational, and the second is the drain that leads to the septic tank that is 4chan.
Happy new year to everyone, if I'm not able to get on in the next couple of busy days.

Tom, can I send that (with attribution, of course) to them as a candidate for Official Slogan?
And agreed with all Tom said above. Cheers and happiest as this crappy year wraps up. May your trend lines go as you want them to.
