I love the rear-end design of the Juke. The side shot takes a bit getting used to. But John McElroy keeps singing the Juke's praises.
Kind of a Juke box, is he?

Anyone have a car that gets a flat battery if it's not started up at least fortnightly? (actually, it takes less than a fortnight to go totally dead)

How old is the battery? They are surprisingly short-lived. Surprising, at least, to an automotive ignoramus such as myself.

Tony,
1) What JW said. Depending on the "premium" of the battery, it could start having trouble in as little as 36 months.
2) Hie thee to a reputable repair shop. If the battery isn't specifically faulty, it sounds like you have something amiss in either the wiring or an accessory. Wouldn't want that to start a fire or cause other wonkiness while driving.

At the 2011 Indianapolis Auto Show, a sign of the times: which do you suppose more people would prefer?
The car show itself seemed better attended than last year. It was significantly smaller, however, largely because of the total absence of GM, which formerly occupied about 1/3 of the available floorspace.

Believe it or not, I don't tweet (yet). You're welcome to appropriate it as you see fit, though.

I think that car comes _with_ an iPad, pre-loaded with the car's own app.

Well, clearly the iPad is the runner-up prize (I think), but it's still nice to make fun of ambiguous signage:

How'd I forget the car show?
Last year, did you sit in the Porsche Panamera? Nice ride.
Those Sonatas are selling like hotcakes.
GM is listed on the show's page...

I want a Nissan LEAF (capitalized despite not being an acronym), but the bastards won't sell them in Nevada for another year.

Just got back from show. I wore down towards the end. But GM was there. Perhaps they were not prepared before?

Interesting, Jeffe. There was a small portion of the floor that I didn't visit, but I'm 99 percent sure GM wasn't there. Perhaps they opened up a new area that was closed on Monday. GM always had a large area off to the side to itself; there was no large side area on Monday, just a biggish rectangle. Ford was big; Chrysler was miniscule (Jeep, mostly); the Japanese, German, and Korean brands were there in force (mostly), but I didn't see GM. Maybe I'm just even more blind than I think.
Edit: And Mokers, yeah, I'm pretty sure that the iPad is second prize to the Sonata--but it's still funny that, by listing the iPad first, Hyundai pretty clearly signals that the iPad is a bigger draw.

I'm thinking they might not have been ready or something. Almost would be a rip-off if that were true.
Here is my crappy Sony sweep panorama of it. This one really turned out badly.
