What a journey.
Bought a Honda Accord as 'third car' --- son got learner's permit yesterday...
looking about the net... found this guy.... lovin' it!

Sadly, the podcast he mentions does not have 2012 eps. http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/car-and-truck-talk-usa/id268955711

Oh, I can't believe how nice the thing rides and drives.

What year Accord, Bill? Regardless, that's a pretty nice third car (unless it's 30 years old, that is!).

Best of luck to your son (and you) during the learning process.

Hey, love this video with SRT (A Chrysler brand) President Ralph Gilles and also head of Chrysler Design... He is a smooth operator.

Nice--your son should have fun with that. Is that the 1995-98 model? I'm relying on the hint of the taillights mostly.

Good vintage, those Hondas...

1996 ...

(Just above the photo... lol)

Yeah, again a coworker's ... he bought new(er) M-B GLK. Sold this to me for a good deal below what similar ones (even worse shape, too) are going for.
I have never driven a Honda and it's really growing on me. (My Prius is jealous)

I can't believe $7k - $8k off MSRP for these Dodge Grand Caravans I found/see today... $15,544 is temptingly cheap!

D'oh!

Edit: I've always liked that generation Accord. The one that followed it was softened up and very blandly styled (my ex-wife had one--it was decent to drive but dull). And then the one that followed that was pretty good, though getting bloated--I looked at one in 2005 and much preferred the Acura TSX (slightly modified European Accord). And then there's the current one, which is a boat. Will the next one follow the alternating generations trend?

Somehow this occurred in my weird head... lol...

Just watched this YouTube/Driven tour of the McLaren design center/factory thing.
If ever Steve Jobs could have lorded over a car factory, McLaren's would have been it!
Look at the design that went in to everything at the factory!

Did the full Shift Turret Maintenance on the Miata today. It's amazing how quiet things are with the new shift boots in place. New bushings and topping off the fluid in the turret seems to have taken some of the "edge" off of second gear, too.

I also replaced the bulbs for the interior lights with LED bulbs. Much, much brighter now. Still almost completely useless, though, since they don't illuminate anything above knee level, really.

My next step is going to be fabricating "real" dome lights which will go where the sun visors used to attach.

Speaking of factory videos, if I had the money, I'd choose one of these over anything out of Germany, Japan, or Detroit.
