My job officially ends on June 29th. I have until then to find a new role within the company. If I don't, I will get up to 6 weeks of severance pay and up to 2 months of continued insurance coverage.

You could. And it'd be expensive as heck to live here. You could mostly forget about owning a home for example. On the upside, if you got laid off again you'd find another job within days. Of the dozen who got laid off with me, only the engineers and techies (and one lucky biologist) got jobs quickly. The rest are still looking.
