WIPMP?

anyone else having this problem -- my iphone's ipod part will just quit. sometimes when browsing with safari, that'll crash and take down the ipod part; sometimes that's w/o a safari crash... and sometimes i'll just be listening to a podcast and then... silencio. look at the iphone, it's forgotten that it was playing anything and i have to go through the playist, etc., to start what i was listening to again.

I've had the iPod portion quit back when ... while surfing. Maybe the udpates, maybe a full reset did the trick, not sure but it doesn't happen anymore.

Right, I think I may have misunderstood the meaning of your post.

In all probability, the SDK is already in the hands of major ISVs. Steve is probably keen on having it released with much fanfare by exposing wonderful applications that have been built with it. Google is probably one of them.

I don't think so. Although I am sure that they have access, this is talking about the BROWSER. And yeah, I nearly flipped when I heard about the apps released today until I realized oh ya, browser apps.

It (the Google iPhone-ified iGoogle, etc) is a LOT better than yesterday. I use Reader exclusively. It's tagging, sharing, and that I can read my feeds anywhere makes the deal.

Even after the update to 1.3 it doesn't play .wav files many phone systems spit out for voicemail to email. It's something to do with the particular codec. Apple is a 146 billion dollar company, they should be able to solve small problems like this and connecting to Exchange.

A colleague speculated that AAPL has a "deal with the devil" to NOT add full Exchange support.

Any care to refute that conspiracy theory?

Considering Apple has (had?) a job posting looking for someone with Exchange experience, I'd say your colleague's theory falls in the tin hat crowd.
