Given how long they sat on his bout with cancer, is it unthinkable that he might be having a relapse? He recently has started talking to the financial press about a successor, "in case I get hit by a bus." I hope that's not the case. When Jobs steps down (or up), most of what makes Apple unique will leave, too.

nah, it was around before me -- i only worked on the last print issue of macweek, then on the online when it was resurrected by gospodin rothenberg when emediaweekly (which i was on) tanked. mac the knife boards > ddt.
I'm fairly certain I began posting when I was still teaching and the MTK boards were part of MacWEEK in 97 or so. Hard to believe it is been over a decade...

I noticed Jobs was looking thin as well. I am not sure if he was sickly thin, but you never know. Maybe he told Paul McCartney he was on hunger strike until he releases the Beatles catalog to iTunes and now he'll go munch on some boca burgers this evening.

Rhino this is your fault.
I went from Ballmer to the iPhone comedy monologue to some Big Brother alphabet soup video and finally ended up at this hilarious video:
