Sorry to shill again like this, but there's less than an hour left in my Canon 30D auction:

It's still well under what B&H would charge for a similar used system!

I just found this VHS+DVD Recorder with built-in Digital TV tuner for $80 at BigLots.

looks like you got a good price on that one, tom. a similar 30d (no lens) from adorama goes for $637 with warranty. i know, the lens, but not really in the case of that one.

Platinum Apple IIe, a friend of mine has been searching one for ages, it's the only Apple II not in his collection! (He's got around 90 Apple computers, all working)

Tell your friend that I can act as a go-between should he contact the seller and come to an agreement on price. In the event the seller does not want to deal with a 'foreigner', you know. :)

Someone's selling a lot of 3 vintage Macs... A Lisa, a TAM and a Color Classic.

Is it me or the design just starting to look dated? Man the TAM really looks pretty good too. The keyboard is such a contrast to the Lisa's...

That poor Lisa should not be shipped in any other way than via a rental car. I don't think the hard disk it would survive it, I used to have multiple Lisas and I gave them to my friend with 80+ Apples, but they've all since died slowly.
