I used to make custom remote controls with my Palm devices using some software called Palm Remote IIRC.
It was sweet. You could marry buttons to actual devices, so you'd point a remote at the palm, program a button on your custom layout, and click the correct button on the real remote. It worked really well, wish there was a replacement.
I hear trouble with the Logitech and Macs ... plus it's still pricey to me.

Weird. The seller has continued to be a jerk but, apparently, the Post Office changed its mind about the insufficient packaging and found their own proof of insurance because I received a check from the US Postal Service today for the insurance claim.

One of the more up-and-down shows I can ever remember watching. There were long stretches of weeks when it was just awful. But then it would have a three- or four-show arc where it was so much fun.
