What a journey.
It seems VMWare goes on sale/off sale frequently.

Already have it on Blu-Ray.

By the way, a little homage to Firefly on Nathan Fillion's new show, Castle. It was great. It is literally the first 30 seconds of the show; watch it here if you're a fan.

Castle.

That is what I would like for my Mac Mini (media center). But, not sure if it works well with mac that I can tell.

Pretty cool, though. Pricey, too.

Lower price for wireless keyboard/pointer thingy. $42.

Ooh! Scary! Scary! Don't we look mean? You can't see me! But I can see you!
I've got a Mac SE that needs a home.

If anyone wants it send me a PM--you pay shipping and it's yours.

It's the last day for the MacHeist Bundle. There's actually some really great apps in this one. The highlights for me are:

MacJournal
Flow
RapidWeaver
Burning Monkey Solitaire
Tales of Monkey Island
Airburst Extreme

Heck, I actually paid full price for Burning Monkey Solitaire a while back because it's the most awesome solitaire game ever made.

$20 for this bundle really is a steal.

Got it in time, Cloudscout. Thanks.

The MacUpdate spring promo bundle is up, and it's a good one (if you need Parallels). Fifty bucks gets you:

-Parallels 5
-Spell Catcher X
-Hyperspaces
-Web Snapper
-Hydra
-Timeline 3D
-Back-in-Time
-ForeverSave
-MacDVD Ripper Pro
-MacScan

I was about to buy Parallels 5 anyway, so this basically gets me the other apps for free. The deal is good until the end of the month.

thanks, jeff.

what is the current consensus on the best product for virtualizing windows on an intel mac? I'd like to avoid boot camp and the HD death gives me a chance to start over. I do need support for a serial-USB input, but that's about it.

Parallels. Recent articles and video show it decimating Fusion in video performance.

VirtualBox.

I don't have experience with Parallels, but I've used VirtualBox extensively on my HP XW6400 'MacPro'. It's incomparable with VMWare Fusion on my MacBook Pro. The latter is much faster and more stable.

The only thing that I don't like about Parallels, or at least the early versions of it, are the network adapters that it sprays through my network system preferences. VMWare doesn't do that.

VirtualBox now has "experimental" support for Mac OS X guests. Maybe I can run OS X on my Windows machine at work...
