We bought ours at Sears. Love it.

They also sometimes have great out of box deals at sam's club or costco.

Not usually. My brother is the one that usually tells me about all of the good deals at Costco or Sams.

What a journey.
We have had one for some time. I like(d) it alot. But I am falling out of love with it now. I hate cleaning the long hairs/fibers out of the roller/brush, and it quite frankly seems to not pick up some stuff as good as I'd like. But, it's hard to shop around and try others, without being disappointed in those, too.

I bought mine from Amazon. Refurb. Saved about 1/3 of the price. I couldn't tell it was a refurb.

actually, i have liked this vacuum cleaner. The switch to turn off the brush is right on the handle, so you can clean bare floors.

< edit > it is very heavy. not recommended for stairs< /edit >

I got a Dyson-DC14-Upright-Vacuum-Rug-Cleaning/

I can fill it with fur from the beast every other day. I love it.

(don't think the extra 200.00 for the "animal" version would be necessary)

"comfort house" has the dyson slim dc18 for $364, but no mention of the attachments for shelves and couches and such, which i'd want... . costco has it at $490 with the attachments.

See what you guys really need is a Whole House Vacuum system.

The few times ive seen them installed in houses i've always said I wanted one, but thought, hell, them things are like ridiculous expensive...

It doesnt seem that bad though. I mean, a good main unit is under 500bux, put it at 250 for the "pipes, fittings, low voltage wire, etc" and say another 50 bux for various attachments.

Granted, it's a lot of "WORK" to put these in the wall (though if its a new install or a gut and remodel, it shouldnt be so bad.

Love the whole house vacuum. We had these things in my college dorms, affectionately named "Super Suck". Much easier than lugging around a vacuum.
