Oh, I am indeed stuck in the 80s myself.
I just thought there might be some local ads or 'play' with either of those guys or the show itself.
When I first listened to them, I thought they were very immature. But, then the topics were stuff I liked. And then realized that the guys I hung out with were likely THAT immature, then, too. So, authentic, pretty much.

In preparation for my departure tomorrow, I've switched from my iPhone to an old Pantech C810 Windows Mobile phone. I will leave it at home, plugged in to its AC adapter and paired with a Bluetooth VOIP gateway connected to my Asterisk server. This will let me send/receive calls on my mobile phone via VOIP while I'm in India. I also installed a Windows Mobile app called txtForward that automatically forwards all incoming text messages to my email address. I can then respond to those messages with Google Voice.

Hooray for technology.

Awesome, CS. While in India, a friend had a guy (who is an expert on telecoms!) come up to him and ask to use his cell phone.

He was puzzled about how to react. Then the guy said...

No worry! I have SIM Card.

And held up such.

My grandmother turns 76 years old in a couple of weeks.

She just joined Facebook.

It's interesting to note that she actually owned a computer before I did. They got a TI-99/4a before I got my Commodore 64.

In all seriousness I have seen a few folks with mobility issues that would really like to have something like this -- as I'll bet Tony can attest their is not a whole lot of subtlety in most the adaptive technologies that folks with real mobility issues could use. If this would allow a "flying scroll" for folks that don't have fine motor control it would be a god send.

(and I am not implying that Tony does not have really fine motor control except when he has downed a few too many ;^) , but as I recall he did have job or association with a group where he worked with others that had even less mobility...)

I'm currently reading my first Kindle book (Michael Lewis's The Blind Side) using the Kindle app for the iPhone. It's an odd experience--there's not enough text on a page, so it doesn't quite feel right. Not bad, though. As for the book, I'm still on the introductory part about the awesomeness of Lawrence Taylor, so as a Giants fan I'm loving it.
