Not quite best ever, but quite good, yes...

Best episode in a long time. Gaeta singing was distracting. There was no reason for him not to use anesthesia. I can understand why Athena shot the Six, but it seemed like it was for no other reason than the writers wanted to cause chaos. And the idea that Baltar, who was happy to put the entire fleet into occupation, signed death orders, not to mention was responsible for nuking an entire ship, and, you know, the entire Cylon attack that started this whole thing is suddenly sanctimonious about working with the enemy, and NOBODY CALLED HIM OUT ON IT, is fucking preposterous.

But there was a lot more good in this episode than bad. The "JUMP!" portion was worth everything else.

Ooh! Scary! Scary! Don't we look mean? You can't see me! But I can see you!
See what happens when you add a little more Zarek? The episode gets better!

Anyway, I pretty much agree with Mokers on this one.

I am looking forward to next week's episode when Tigh hauls off on Adama.

Oh gods.

They haven't posted it to Rewind or Hulu yet!!! WTH. They are living in the stone age. I need to catch up before Friday.

Guess there's always another way.

Was. Not bad. Not enough action but 6 was looking OK when not morphing into that other person.
Yeah, Hulu shits.
Usually is...

Not Bad? Mostly a let down for me.

I feel like I have seen parts of this episode before.

-Somebody on the crew betrays Adama's trust and is thrown in the brig. Gee, I wonder if they'll need her later for some critical mission...
-Look the Cylon dies. And we have yet another scene of death imagery. How poignant...and repetitive. It would be have been a better scene except almost everybody on this show has some sort of vision
-The Quorum of 12 has no power. I'm for democracy and everything, but is there a more useless governing body in the galaxy? Remember the last time we listened to the people and Balthar was elected? Do we forget how that worked out?
-Adama is going to wait for Roslyn to jump back and meet the fleet. Hmm, I wonder if he'll start to run out of air and hallucinate, only to have her ship jump back in at the last possible moment, like three minutes after Adama was supposed to leave to rendezvous with the rest of the fleet...
-As soon as Lee started his "search" process, you knew he was going to become president. The whole thing with the crazy lawyer is a great way to highlight a guest star, but was mostly a waste of time.
-Starbuck is upset that the captain is forcing her crew to go on a useless search mission. Because if Kara had been his position, she would have never sacrificed other people for a mission that she alone believed in. Just ask everybody on the Demetrius how great her judgment is...
-Adama's ship is broken. "You know how many times I've had to fix that thing?" - OK, that was legitimately funny. But as a climactic scene, duking sixty somethings is not that impressive.
-At first I wondered why Six would have sex with Saul, then I realized he isn't any worse than Dean Stockwell. But if she is pregnant, does that mean the Cylon reproductive mystery is solved? Or is Saul really not a Cylon? (I thought they couldn't get pregant). Also, Starbuck pregnancy watch should start now.

On the plus side, no Balthar! Seriously though, the worst part about this episode is that you knew there was a lot more exciting shit going on, like a crazy Cylon civil war, but we only get to see the aftermath. I am sure the scene were the base ships go at each other was amazing. I am sure that there is some spectacular special effects in there. Instead, we get Battlestar West Wing, which the writers seem to love, but is entirely lame.

sorry, but Lee was super-GAY-looking in this episode. :)

IMO , they really need to start HONING the story along the lines of the final ending NOW NOW NOW. None of this pregnancy, this or that.

Hey, why does Tigh look better and younger now. I was almost thinking they've been fooling me and some 20-something is the actor, being aged, all estell getty-like.

Agreed about the lack of action.

Not sure about some of the finer points of the story.

I thought about the weak governing body, but come on, there are some 40k humans left floating around in space with limited resources and cylons tailing their ass. The very notion of a democratic idea in those circumstances is kind of wacky IMO.

There was some wasted time but it's still better than most things on TV. No reason not to critique tho...

Well, it had more Zarek, which we knew was coming. :)

But, the lawyer, Lee thing...

I want FOCUS is all. Every story line leads up to the ending now, imo.
