In America, the only respectable form of socialism is socialism for the rich.
Spoiler's of sort below. Highlight to read.

Yeah! Wondering the same thing too. Really like Galen's discovery -- that was cool.

Starbuck's burning the evidence!? Hah. Little does she know.

So is the real question -- who is the final human?

Hulu has it with commentary:

just watched the recording... don't want to spoil, so here's some space.

the weirdest thing in the script, i thought, was the archaeological discovery and how when caprica and baltar tossed it off, people just said "huh" and didn't investigate further. there's a whole planet of ruins, with paper trails, probably, etc. i mean, it's something that turns their whole world (in a metaphorical sense) upside down, and they don't want to know more?

What a journey.
Just Lucy lawless. But you're right. Maybe the radiation levels are too high.

Or the reality is such a letdown from what they expected, they can't bring themselves to look further. Hell, a lot of them are having trouble staying alive.

imo, they really must do a lot to 'wrap this the hell up'. They've just mired it more in deeper mindfuck.

Should we have a time for when it is safe to talk about details? Perhaps the Monday the week after the episode is shown?

Anyway, they didn't answer a whole lot of questions. They aren't going to wrap up half of what they need to. It seems like they are setting up to leave a lot of questions answered by the upcoming series Caprica.

I think by Monday, one should have had time to watch it or not. Sounds good to me.

But, I'm the type of guy that does not mind spoilers. Probably only the "I see dead people" spoiler would have ruined it for me IF it was within 4 days of seeing it. Otherwise, I would have just forgotten, most likely.

they did mention that there were teams of cylons investigating different sites around the globe.

I would think the low levels of radiation would be good. Doesn't radiation slowly kill Cylons?

ddt – January 21, 2009 09:16AM Reply Quote
only a certain type. always wondered why they never used that info ti detect or delete "skinjobs".

Because radiation slowly kills humans?

ddt – January 21, 2009 09:32AM Reply Quote
sure, but papadama was fine after a large enough dose/long enough exposure to make a leoben fall apart, or at least visibly suffer.

How could one TELL if papadama's face, for example, developed radiation blisters?
Kinda like looking at the sun to find a light/lamp left on.

But they sent AthenaBoomer into a high radiation zone because she could take more damage that way than a human.

ddt – January 21, 2009 10:14AM Reply Quote
like i said, it was only a specific type of radiation that affected them poorly. too lazy to look it up -- did seem like a kind of treknobabble. "the augustinium radiation seems to... [insert problem or solution to problem here]".

Well it's clear that Starbuck is on the team. She's not a man.
