Don't mind the pit-stains, greasy hair and Dorito breath. They've been busy coding. Or, at least, thinking about coding.

He may have missed some big opportunities, but Apple made a lot of companies look foolish in the last decade. Don't forget that Ballmer left Microsoft as the third largest company in the world.

It's a spreadsheet! It's a database! It's a spreadsheet AND a database?? Actually, I'm not quite clear on this product, but someone said that one of its use cases is for user research... https://airtable.com/features -- thoughts?

Ballmer is such an idiot. Microsoft should kill Windows Phone, not waste more resources on it.

Not sure where to put this, but it is relevant to working with developers. Someone trustworthy recommended aha.io as a product management tool, and I came to it after reading up on how to help organize product development, and was looking for something shared and flexible to create product road maps. Any experienced PM types have any thoughts?

Cool, I'll have to check that one out. I've used http://teamgantt.com in the past, and liked it. Significantly cheaper than Aha.io. The only real issue I have with TeamGantt is that there's no critical path highlighting. Okay, and that it's not really touchscreen-friendly, but that may have improved since.

Interesting -- I haven't even gotten that into it to think about those features. Are you small enough to qualify for Aha's "startup"/free plan? I'll check teamgantt out but that looks more specialized.

DPBD: well, Aha has a megametric shit-ton of stuff in there. It's good that the free trial includes a populated fake product and coach marks, but it is a bit overwhelming if this is your first time doing anything like that. They do seem to offer a live demo/coaching, which could be very helpful, if going through it with a clear head doesn't help me figure it out. But that'd be a great design exercise -- how to design something that can disclose progressively, and help you learn as you build what you need in the order you need building. Hm, like a complex game tutorial. Hm.

If you have the Aussie voice for Siri, she calls it "dub dub DC".

Though I still think of Dub Dub as the distaff of The Middleman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORFg4_m6sWQ

Interesting. And I think you mean the WEBOBJECTS part.
But, why is there an LSD video (for ME) on that page? seems odd.

So, that was FAT JOBS... Q&A is surreal to see him in, again.
The web moves on....

Yeah, I don't know about the LSD video. Maybe Web Objects was architected by tripping engineers.

If anyone wants to scrape the Goop site for all its new agey terms, I'll use the words to put together an app proposal.
