It's not just for iPhone anymore. This time it's personal.
A new thread to discuss all things IOS.
iPhone, iPod and iPad...

What a journey.
no silly. I am actually of the opinion that the physical attributes of iDevices are far less important than the marriage of the two. (soft/hard wares) But, not wanting to get into that part... too early.

FBI denies it. Well,
technically, they said that there was no evidence proving that they did it.

A minimalist XCode. One window. No, no windows! Windows are your father's paradigm. Just start typing and exactly what you need to see will be displayed in CNC-routed Helvetica Neue Light.

As long as I can get a calendar app without fake leather, paper scraps, and stitching skewmorphism, I'll be happy.

Gruber linked this piece recently, and it's really really good:

Best list I've seen of the real, serious, functional usability problems in the current Mac/iOS ecosystem.

So, my over-the-air iOS 6.1 update has been going on for 2.5 hours now. I'm guessing that it's never going to finish. Downloader emptor.

Jailbreak is here!!!! Cydia's servers are saturated, but I nonetheless managed to get maps opener and now instead of crapple maps, I get google maps. YAY!

What a journey.
Now that I have upgraded my kids to new iPod Touches, I have three iPod Touch 2nd Gens.
I've been getting more exposed to iOS. And not that happy at the moment. I keep trying to find apps, get them, download them and they don't work with my iPod Touches.
That alone is a pain. Can one filter/limit the iOS app store to show compatible apps?
And, is there a site that lists the best/top apps for iOS 4.2.1 or compatible?

Funny, I was just thinking about all the single tasks you could repurpose old iOS devices for. Thinking of doing a Kickstarter for one.

Ooh! I have some ideas for that.
In addition to the "classic Slashdot": Run a Beowulf cluster!
