What a journey.
In layman's terms, what does that do?

If the browser tries to get something off those sites, it'll just go to the local host. I've added all facebook properties that way. No like button for me!

It wasn't Gawker's rumor to start with.

Neither justified nor unjustified. Gizmodo was merely reporting the fact that CBS made an errant tweet about Steve's death today which a jillion people retweeted before CBS could post a pseudo-retraction and apology.

I say "pseudo-retraction" because CBS didn't say that it wasn't true, just that it was unconfirmed.

That errant tweet turned out to be very costly for the "What's Trending" show.

CBS has ended its relationship with the show.

Failure is pre-greatness.
According to AP, the era has ended.

Sad that the two men most famous for saying, "one more thing," should pass away within a few months of each other.

I hope that datacenter in NC was for more than iCloud.

Terribly sad. I'd hoped he'd have more time than this after stepping down.

Oh man, what a punch to the gut.
God Bless him.

Substrate upload?

I'm scared to think of running into him in an afterlife…

Which reminds me that I was thinking about the simulation argument again and pretty sure that we're living in one… http://www.simulation-argument.com/

This must be how it felt when the last unicorn died and magic went out of the world.

Some industry leaders and politicians comment on Steve's passing. Including Arnold, of all people.
