That's exactly what one would expect a nodule-bearing being to say. (my logic is impeccable)

With this crowd (myself included), it's difficult to turn anywhere and it not be ugly.

I'd be in line for the 99 cent book.

Ok, now THIS is cool. Working on a document in Pages on Mac, went to iPad for some time, now opened up Pages again. Changes were made flawlessly. Awesome.

Only question is where the heck are the versions?

It's not working for me Dan. Too much white space. The font size is too small and I'm not fond of the font. The general idea is cool though.

Cool feedback, thanks! Yes, the white space/image ratio was arbitrary, as I was too lazy to look up actual cover proportions and requirements (gutters, etc.). I'll think about the font -- at least more than the 2sec I already invested.

That's bad, chef.

Less bad is trying to update Coda from 2.0.1 bought in the MAS to Code 2.0.2.

v 2.0.2 doesn't show up in MAS "Updates". To get it, you d/l the app anew from Coda's site, then find the "Purchase" menu item, and use the "Migrate from App Store" option -- which, w/o explanation, is scary!

Bitch slap.

I'm cool with Gatekeeper and all. At least in theory. In practice, it blows chunks. There is a way to denote unsuitability by actually giving a useful message to users. A message like, "Your Application isn't digitally signed. You've chosen not to install applications from outside the App store and without a digital signature."

You know what it says instead? "Installer.app is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image."

One small change in the preferences panel, and poof, the previously 'damaged' installer works perfectly again.

Idiots.

Really? That *is* terrible. Sounds like someone isn't checking return codes properly/closely enough.

This is an interesting empirical shakedown of Fusion Drive.

Mac OS X has had "hot file" management for years; this appears to be an extension of that philosophy...

At least OS X doesn't have this (yet).

But the price differential in subsidized Kindles is not worth it.
