They were free with new Macs. Now with old ones.

What a piker. He should be using two.

God knows why they weren't free. Who the hell uses them anyway? Total crap and all because they won't save natively to .doc, .ppt, xls. Apple just can't figure it out. I've even emailed Tim to patiently explain this. It makes no sense. How are companies steering so wrong?

Sounds like you haven't used them in a while. They do export to Office formats. I use Numbers a lot, and for my needs it's way less clunky than Excel.

Does anyone use iMovie anymore?

johnny k – April 21, 2017 08:03PM Reply Quote
Yes, on occasion. I wonder how many people use it on iOS now.

I used to keep iMovie HD around, because it was so much simpler to use. But now it won't run no more.

Yes, I use iMovie. I hate what the interface has become. I WISH one could run iMovie 1.0 on current Macs.

Johnny K, they export but won't save natively. Big difference. Isn't want the iWork File format littering my drive. Who does? Once burned twice shy.

I dismissed the alert box in early morning eye-bleariness and then wtfed about where the hell did app management go?

I've long preferred to update apps on the computer and sync to phone, b/c I'm not always on wifi on my phone to save battery life (and I have limited data plan).

I think the one thing I still ever used that for is rearranging my home screens and folders.

No clue if my new phone was vector/cause, but dang, my iCloud and iMessages (nee messages) are all totally messed up.
This will just harden my resolve to spend even more stupid amounts of money on newer Macs/phones until it is PERFECT! :)

With the App Store out of desktop iTunes, how can developers have links in their web sites to let people see/download their apps?

right on schedule... now all my iCloud shared photos appear missing from Mac Photos, iCloud web photos, iPhone, and apple tv.
Web PUBLIC LINKs show all the old (now missing) photos just fine.
On phone with Apple.

This solution has been used by developers, review sites, etc. for years now.
