Well.

Also needed with Spork is the "ribaldry • rumors • rats" sub-moniker

A number of people over on the MacMinute message boards are wondering "what's next?"

Apparently, Stan didn't have a "Plan B" and the front page of the site has gone stale. A few have suggested where they could go if the site fails. I dropped in and suggested Spork.

He was running the macminute site by himself?

It would appear that way. Very sad. I had communicated with him via email several years back and he came across as a really nice guy.

I suppose if that was you're full time job then it wouldn't be that much of a burden. Sounds like his death was a bit sudden.

It's been a long time and I'm not sure anybody still remembers me but it's good to see you're all still going strong.

I have e-mail from Stan from 2001 when we did a banner swap.

42 is too young to go. I read that it was an existing condition, but it didn't say what condition that was.

On MacMinute, he mentioned several times that delays in updates were due to unexpected hospitalizations. Sorry to see him go.

It's been kind of quiet around here the last few days. Don't tell me that everybody has decided to take advantage of Spring and do stuff "outside" or something.

What a journey.
I've thought same thing.

MY ass has been welded to my desk as my great-grand-boss is concerned that there is perception we are not working day and night on restoring a redundant server to full functionality at light speed. Umm, service is not interupted, customers are been fully served, We are working vendors to get every last bit of diagnostic off the server that had issues and isn't this why we have redundancy?

Anyhow spring is on hold for me...

spring is overrated. Your welded ass takes priority! :)

good luck

Those of you asking about reader sponsorships, check it out:

http://www.macedition.com/2008/05/12/reader-sponsorships-redux

I haven't set things up for direct PayPal donations, but I want to do something akin to ZeFrank's GimmeSomeCandy eventually.

For now, though, you can give some amount of money by buying a shirt or mousepad.

Hey Tom, great idea and nice stuff. Is it possible to lower the price by one cent on the t-shirts, so they'll be 49.99? The shipping of a single item is then a few dollars cheaper domestically and even more so for international shipping.

Is there a way for me to find/view all my old messages here? I'm trying to find an answer to a question that I asked some weeks/months ago, and searching isn't helping.

Ooh! Scary! Scary! Don't we look mean? You can't see me! But I can see you!

Was it here or at the old place?

OK, tliet. I've lowered all the prices by $.01.
