Well.

Also needed with Spork is the "ribaldry • rumors • rats" sub-moniker

I've modified it a little bit so that if you try to check subs while not logged in, it will redirect you to the login page.

Isn't there any way that we can have anti-spam checking disabled for those of us known to the board?

Cheers Tom, this works perfectly.

Tom has said that the software does not allow a "white list" of posters. Considering that I'm not paying anything for his hard work, I am prepared to live with the spam blocking. Not that I'll stop complaining when it blocks me.

I agree it's annoying when it happens but it's something I'm willing to live with in order to enjoy the relatively high post quality here (yeah, I said it... *sniff* I love you guys!)

I appreciate all of the work Tom puts into keeping all of this running as it is.

There is a new spam hurdles module - I think I may have mentioned it before. It's still unstable though, so I don't want to install it yet.

Thanks for all of your kudos. It's hard to believe how long this board has been up. February 12, 2000 appears to have been the first thread on the old boards, and the newest one here is late 2007.

Thanks for the time and effort you put in on our behalf, Tom.

I keep saying, if we're ever in the same town, beer's on me. (It's Boston, these days.)

Is Scotland going to leave the Union eventually? One hears things, but the newsies like to play up the drama.

I think probably not, but our new NeoCon masters are in the process of trying to deconstruct Britain as we know it, so anything is possible.

I hope not. The British nations have achieved so much together that it seems a shame to split them up. I would think that EU politics would get really complicated, too. Still, you have to let people choose their own paths. Or so I'm told, despite my imperialistic urges.

It would also screw up a really cool flag.

Maybe the Republic should join back up now that the Euro thing has proven a bit of a mistake. I mean really… Same plugs, you know?

This is the wrong thread but the phrase that stocks are shortly expected to go down "by the lifts" has been thrown around when various bits of the puzzle (Ireland, Chinese inflation, QEII) are all put together...

I thought Chinese Inflation was okay, but not up to Appetite for Destruction's level.

Have we lost ghidorah? That would be sad. This is like watching the old veterans of World War One dropping, one by one. Eventually, one guy left in the parade wearing an old, threadbare uniform and remembering all those who are no longer with us.
