Hideously Unnatural
There was some amount of time where creating accounts wasn't moderated, which caused a bunch of dormant spambot accounts to be created. I can't easily tell the difference between a dormant spam account and a lurker, so I'm loathe to just delete accounts. I can try turning off the spam filter, but I expect that will increase the spam load somewhat.

What you could do is turn it off just for a while and delete any accounts from posters like "newbie1876" peddling viagra and nigerian investment schemes...

The day job keeps me on my toes, but lately I've really had the jones to get back into the analysis game. It's not like I ever really left, but very little of it gets written down. I just mumble it to myself with the occasional "Dvorak's a tool!" outburst, which serves to both confuse onlookers and frighten small children (even those who have never heard of Dvorak).
