Well.

Also needed with Spork is the "ribaldry • rumors • rats" sub-moniker

That was odd.

Hey, Tom, I just tried posting something in "That Darn Microsoft" but when I clicked the "Post message" button, it processed for a bit and then took me to the main MacEdition Forums page. There was no error and it didn't post my message. I was able to click "Back" and then click "Post message" again and that time it worked. You might want to check the logs to see if something weird happened. You can take a look at the time stamp on my post about two-finger scrolling to figure out when it happened.

To put your logs in context, here's what I did:

1) After typing my message and clicking "Post message" it brought me to the main MacEdition Forum page.
2) I wasn't sure if it had posted or not so the first thing I did was open a new window and click on my "Check Subscriptions" bookmark.
3) There were no new posts so I clicked on "Spork Central".
4) From Spork Central I clicked on the link for "That Darn Microsoft".
5) When I saw that my message had not been posted, I went back to my original window and clicked the "Back" button on my browser.
6) I confirmed that the "Post message" button was highlighted indicating that I hadn't accidentally clicked something else by mistake.
7) I clicked "Post message" again and this time it successfully posted.
8) ???
9) Profit!

Umm... when I tried posting this message, it did the exact same thing. Instead of posting, it brought me to:

http://www.macedition.com/forums/index.php

I clicked back and I'm going to try to click "Post message" again. If you're reading this then it means that my second attempt worked.

Thanks for the debug, CS. I can't troubleshoot right now, so hopefully it's not something really bad...

In a break, I went to do a bit of the debugging and found that MySQL's error logging wasn't turned on. I've turned it on to aid in debugging. If you see the problem again, let me know here.

Thanks. Just got back home and the dog (usually pretty good) must have eaten some easter candy.
Nice brown splotches with aluminum foil interspersed, all over. :)

Last year I was still pretty down, physically, on my birthday. This year even though I have my issues, I feel great - all things considered.
So it IS a very happy birthday.

Since the iPad did not impress me enough to buy it, I still have to figure out what to get. I'm just in one of those "nothing sounds good" moods.
Unless anyone has any suggestions?

Cheers.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to CHECK the calendar.

Happy Birthday to you too, any and everyone. Went out for dinner. unfortunately did not sit well. But, that's just my lot in life at the moment. no regrets.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. Off to an early snooze. With my new ambien I have to allow enough time for complete sleep. Just started taking it. And I feel it kicking in now. It's some quick acting med, for sure. nighty night.
