Well, yes, you know. We all need them some times.

I can vouch for this. iOS 5 pretty much screwed over music playing on the iPad. I've tried to get used to the new interface, but I can not.

Wonder if their studies showed that people listened to music in different ways with the iPad as opposed to the iPhone or iPod...? Then again, I've never been able to use the Cover Flow (totally destroys any playlist usability).

Just noticed the changes to button states (along the bottom). Does not look promising at a screenshot glance... .

I never use the iPad for music, but I did notice that the iTunes app is different, and in my estimation, better. Nice experience to browse and buy an album, and then spread the files around to the other devices. Especially since I've run out of Mac DRM activations and can't play the music on my Mac.

Yeah, the new interface caught me by surprise, but I'm getting used to it. Having the play control buttons tucked hard into the top left corner helps when trying to use it while, um, in motion in a vehicle.

Missed the eBay auction.

I was refreshing right at 6:00PM CST.

Had two in a basket, PayPal button pressed, but when it got back to eBay, the item was gone.

GRRRRR.

Gosh, that new user interface is awful! What gives in UI design at Apple? Lion is almost unusable these days.

In contrast, iOS 5 on iPhone is well tuned, with one exception: key settings like brightness and bluetooth are buried deep in the system preferences app. Brightness should be accessible from any screen, frankly. Bluetooth should be more easily accessible, perhaps as an app or at worst as a top level setting. Last thing I need is to fumble with it while in the car.

Apple's deliberately breaking those deep links in the current IOS 5 beta. Don't get too used to them.

Double-press the home button, then swipe the bottom area left. Brightness and volume sliders are there.

John Rubinstein's leaving HP. From Apple to Palm to HP to... nothing. It would be sad, except for the millions he must have banked.

Got my refurb WebOS Touchpad while I was in Indy. I'm just setting it up now.

It's really nice! It seems account-centric as opposed to app-centric.

Heftier feel than the iPad, but the polish is there on most of the software.

It's a shame this didn't live to compete.

We have two webos phones. They are nice enough. Nothing too bad or too good.
