For many people, hitting the last few of their "twilight years" (late 70s/80s/90s) can be an undignified process of debilitating illness, pain, loss of movement/function/continence as well as loss of independence/autonomy...

I hope that when or if I get to that stage, we live in an enlightened enough age that should I (or anyone for that matter*) decide that my quality of life is no longer bearable - I can end it in some dignity rather than ending up like
this. If that ain't "end-times" hell-on-earth, I don't know what is...
