In America, the only respectable form of socialism is socialism for the rich.
Good discussion on Math. I tell my kids that everything they see can be explained in Math.

Geometry is great for programming graphics. I think if we showed HOW Math can be applied in the world then it would be more useful and engaging. See, this animated film is all Math and here's how. I totally agree about economic theory too, find an application and teach that -- the Math will find its own way.

Good grief, communications engineering (slinging bits and waves to pass messages, ya know) is nothing BUT math. If you don't have calculus and trig down cold, you are screwed.

Ah, finally a subject in which math matters!

speaking of math: huck's doing rather well in tonight's caucuses and remember, he got around 12% of the primary votes in CA, even with romney and others still on the ticket. that's a lot of christian dominionists.

Well Obama won all three states yesteryday: Louisiana, Nebraska, and Washington State. And he won by about two thirds in those states.
Depending on whose count you are using he's either much closer or farther ahead!

The Associated Press count, Clinton had 1,095 delegates to 1,070 for Obama. Cnn disagrees:
Quote

Obama leads in pledged delegates -- 908 to 877 -- but Clinton's superdelegates -- 223 to 131 -- give her the overall lead.

Immense turn out at the Democratic caucus here in Walla Walla--maybe a thousand? Far more then anyone expected. Somehow I ended up being elected as one of our districts representatives for the state convention. gulp

Bill, I don't get it. Tell me please why abortion is such a sin that it should be illegal, while at the same time supporting a war that kills tens, no hundreds of thousands of people.

And while you're at it, just what sentence will be in store for those who commit it? Death sentence?
