his tongue went click click click as his head hit the basket after the guillotine's blade had sliced it cleanly. for a few seconds his eyes blinked and a reddening of the cheeks was noted by the attending physician. the crowd howled in glee...

oh, i'm sorry, wrong topic. click click click is for camera/photo/digital photo discussions which seem to have a place in our hearts.

Sounds like it faces head-on the "sure it has a bazillion pixels but they all look like crap with a supernova behind ya" effect that has been bugging me for quite a while. Great move. I want one.

120 fps DSLR, the Red.

Cool.

on the other end of the scale LG has a mobile phone camera that will do 120fps.

Where did you find this?

OK looking through dpreview now... I didn't get this at Canon USA. Can't wait though. Too bad they have released the 50D already. I'm not buying much more than that unless I bill ... too much $$$$ otherwise.

I actually found it in a flickr group. Everyone is assuming its the update to the 5d.

God I hope so.

I need an excuse. I'd like to upgrade the 30d to a 40d or 50d for the small sensor with dust removal, which will make my 70-200 @ 2.8 take advantage of the magnification factor.

I've wanted full frame for the 16-35 @ 2.8 so I can see how wide the lens really is :(

It better be good. I'm only so-so happy with my 5d. There are a bunch of issues, many related to the platform. I get significant vignetting with my L glass lenses. Distortion is fairly high, which is bad for the kind of money I paid.

It's big, big, big and I come to it from a rangefinder that still outperforms it (although I swear that my film scans are no longer as good... friends concur... maybe the emulsion is getting crappier??). The noise is still unacceptably high at anything over 400 (whereas with the g2 I could do handheld night shots and get them to turn out). Focussing can be sketchy.

I hope this is good AND I hope that Panasonic does an impressive job with the micro 4/3rds system. That till seems to be the best way to go.

I'm vastly interested in the micro 4/3 from Olympus too ... recently put a roll of film in my OM-1. What a lovely, lovely camera.

and again, when is full frame coming down in price to something reasonable for those of us who do not bill?

Probably just as soon as the 5d update is released. Then you'll be able to pick up the 5d for cheap.

But I want something new!!!

You guys just buy big or are you finding ways to write it off?

I got lucky as it were. I happened to come into some money and I found the 5d online for a really good price.

At this stage though the only lens I have is the f1.8 50mm. I went on a weekend trip a couple of weeks ago to shoot wildflowers and I hired a 24-105 to take with me.

A little less laziness and I could... but then there's potential self-employment taxes. Instead I could probably wrangle it into my employer's work as a self purchased tool.

Don't it look great!?

If I hadn't lost ~25% of my overall net worth recently I'd actually spring for one.

$2500 for HDMI & 1080 output is nice, put still too much unless I could figure out a way to make money with it... Sniff, it looks REALLY well built.

How much was the 5d when it came out? the mark II looks like it's cheaper. can't really tell till they announce AUD pricing.
