Ditto. Ditto. I had to be dragged, but it was just what I needed. Good songs, especially the barbershop quartet.

Just got back from The Muppets. It was Mahna Mahnawesome.

I saw it today, too. Loved it, but it was a little too long and (surprisingly) angst-ridden for my kids, who were restless for stretches.

I'm not afraid to say that I got a bit misty-eyed when the "telethon" started and they began the opening theme song bit. The movie exceeded my expectations. They're merchandising the hell out of this and I hope it works out. I'd like to see more. My favorite attraction at the Disney parks is "Muppetvision 3-D".

I read an interview with Jason Segel where he said that he tried to slip something into an early draft of the script where Kermit says, "I'd like to announce that The Muppet Show is coming back to ABC next fall!" He says that they responded with something along the lines of, "Nice try, kid."

You'd probably like the Fresh Air interview with Segel -- some funny inside info.

One of my barometers to see if I will get along with people is to ask them what they thought of the Great Muppet Caper or Muppets Take Manhattan. As long as you can laugh at those, you probably have a soul. I give people a pass on Muppets in Space.

I enjoyed Muppets from Space. Muppet Treasure Island, however... okay, I enjoyed that too but not as much.

I remember buying a CD-ROM containing a QuickTime version of the movie "Funny" back in early 1992. I wish I still had it, probably a collectors item by now.

Or maybe not. I found it on Amazon

This must be how the girls feel when they see twilight lol

When we were in Stratford upon avon, I saw the actor who plays Bilbo, his photo in one of the windows along the road where we stayed. He is also in Sherlock. We walked onto and through a street where they were filming the second season/series of Sherlock while we were in London.

HD.... I'll restate... neither my eyes nor my hearing are 'HD' so I don't miss the extra bits!

Had no interest in the M:I movies, and even wandered away when one was playing on DVD.

But the Brad Bird installment -- that dude can direct action, and make even Tom Cruise appear human, with human relationships.

And the ballsiest title sequence I've seen in a long time. That, and Melancholia, make me think that the orchestral "overture" form is coming back.

Did you see Tree of Life?

No, I want to! I have to make the effort to find the Blu Ray for that. Did you like it?

it's at Red Box (here at least)
Well, people got up and left. It's a bit odd, not mainstream in the least.
Give it a go, I say. I liked it will watch again. But many people likely have no patience for it or appreciation of some of the symbolism perhaps.
Lovely images of fresh water swimming holes in Texas I'd love to visit, though.
let me know what you think.
