I don't understand that trailer. 10,000 BC... seems a bit well... not early enough since their are still prehistoric beasts in it... If you put a date on something is it still prehistoric?

Didn't the Woolies "die out" millions and billions of years ago?

I think it looks pretty.

It doesn't grab my interest as much as say... Cloverfield.

Wooly mammoths are much more recent.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wooly_mammoth

"While most woolly mammoths died out at the end of the Pleistocene (12,000 years ago), a small population survived on St. Paul Island, Alaska, up until 6000 BC [2], while another remained on Wrangel Island, located in the Arctic Ocean, up until 1700 BC. Possibly due to their limited food supply, these animals were a dwarf variety, thus much smaller than the original Pleistocene woolly mammoth. However, the Wrangel Island mammoths should not be confused with the Channel Islands Pygmy Mammoth, Mammuthus exilis, which was a different species."

Sarah Chronicles:

We'll see. Starts off kinda the same to me as Bionic Woman. Could go either way.

What a journey.

It's alright. I think it was a stronger opening than Bionic woman--but maybe that's just because there was more backstory already established. I did like how they solved the time problem from 1993/1994 to present day. I'll definitely watch the second half of the pilot tonight. I also thought the three of them appearing in the middle of the road was a stitch.

We had to flip/flop back/forth with CBS's The Amazing Race. So, I missed that, but saw the 'gross' scene where he had to appear naked WITH HIS MOM!!

What a journey.

I really enjoyed parts of it. It has a lot of potential.

I also gave Bionic Woman a chance... still some bad dialogue here and there (wreaks of a male writing a female driven plot line) but entertaining nonetheless. I still say Chuck is my favorite show this season (thank you CS).

Many now use Before Christian Era.

Or in most cases, the C in BCE and CE stands for Common or Current Era.

I posted this elsewhere but I'm so psyched about the new Trek film now that I thought I'd do a brain dump here too. Sneak preview of the enterprise:

I'm stunned by the casting for the new Trek movie. It looks like it's going to rock. It's the first time I've been excited about Trek this much since I heard the Romulans were going to be in a movie. That didn't pan out... but this looks to be very very good--especially with the character line-up.

George Kirk! Bruce Greenwood (Nowhere Man, I-Robot) is Christopher Pike! We're going to see an AMAZING story, kids.

Winona Ryder is going to be Spock's mom.

Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire) is going to be Sarek!

Karl Urban (Caesar from Xena and Hercules) is Bones!

Simon (F'n) Pegg!!! (Shawn of the Dead!) is SCOTTY!

and for you Heroes fans Zachary Quinto as Spock.

I have a good feeling about this movie. All of these actors couldn't have agreed to make this movie if the script sucks. Could they?

--

Oh yeah, and Leonard Nimoy is in it... as Spock. (presumably the older version) ;-)
