It was one of those sad, wistful days in the Cooper household when my son stopped referring to Lightning McQueen as "Lightling."

I must have seen Cars a hundred times. And I still love it.

My dad died before it came out but it would have been his favorite too. The man was addicted to classic cars, anything related to or about route 66, the 60s, fast vehicles and even raced his own 64 GTO. He also restored a 57 Pontiac Safari Wagon... oh! and he loved Paul Newman movies and related racing stories too.

It was hard for me to watch so soon after his passing but I love that movie. Ironically there were a couple of unfavorable reviews for it--which is bizarre to me as I love everything Pixar touches and assume everyone else does/should too. But the guys who wrote them apparently were not car fans and/or didn't get the slice of Americana the movie represents.

Cars remains along with The Incredibles-- one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time. I expect WALL•E to bump them both from the top slot.

My nephew refers to lightning mcqueen as 'queen'

Actually, WALL•E is the first Pixar movie that I actually am repulsed by. I'll see it, based on history, but it seems so contrived and saccharine from the previews. Still, I thought I'd dislike Cars from the previews and I didn't.

I thought Bug's Life was going to suck.

To be honest, it's my least favorite Pixar film so far.

The Incredibles is currently my favorite followed closely by Cars.

I don't expect Wall-E to bump either of those from their berths but I'm keeping an open mind.

I'm a sucker for cute robots. I still like Short Circuit.

I think Wall-E looks great. My favorite is the Incredibles followed by Ratatouille. Then Monsters, Inc and Cars, then Bug's life and Toy Story.

Also, did the calibration on my TV with the Ratatouille DVD. Color settings were good, but my contrast was slightly off. Would be hard pressed to say it made a huge difference though, since I didn't watch it first with the old settings, and forgot I had even done the calibration about 5 minutes into the movie.

Bug's Life is my favorite maybe, great story, amazing look. It's the Seven Samarai of personified insect movies, what's not to love?

Nemo is a great story too.

Love Toy Story, so clever, so funny. I actually like 2 as well.

Oh hell, I like them all.

But Boundin' is my favorite Pixar short of all time.

Enemy of the State -- good flick, can watch it many times. Gene Hackman is good too.

I think I caught pieces of EotS and it was good.

I have not enjoyed Increds/Rat.

god, forgot about nemo. loved that as well.

I loved A Bug's Life.

Mind you, there hasn't been a bad one really...

Well, judging from the kids that l know, they didn't like a Bug's life nor Cars as much as Finding Nemo or Ratatouille. But compared to the other stuff that's out there, it's all high quality stuff.

I liked Monsters most of all. Nemo next. Cars, TS 1 & 2 are about neck and neck. I liked the lack of peril in Cars a lot. (like a good Pooh story) Bug's Life I like, but not as much - but still like it. I have to say that if I never see Incredibles or Rat again, I will not be saddened by that. I found very little to like in those movies. My kids, I don't remember them laughing or enjoying Rat at all. I observed them during the show to make that statement. But afterwards they said they liked it. But outwardly, any spongebob episode gets them rolling laughing way more.

My daughter is my little BOO (Monsters). And that softens my heart.

Two moments bring me to tears with all of the above.

Sulley leaving Boo via the closet near the end. And the same feeling when he peaks around the restored door. (I'm teary eyed now just thinking about it)

And that darned song from Toy Story 2 "When she loved me"

Snowcone?

really really liked incredibles (though they could have dialed back jason lee and i'd have liked it more), eventually really liked ratatouille though the chase scene after chase scene too away from it, to be redeemed by the predicable but masterfully done epiphany scene at the end. liked the island of mutant toys in toy story but... that's about it. all the rest were too easy, too predictable, too rote and bland for my taste. i'd rather watch the iron giant again.
