Four Roads Cross - I've finished reading that
entire series a couple of months ago. I really liked it; complex world, lawyers as (generally dark-ish) sorcerers. The legacy of a cataclysm following a war between humanity and the gods.
I just completed the
Greatcoats series. Fantasy that takes its inspiration from swashbucklers, like the Three Musketeers. Surprisingly grim world, but some amazingly emotional payoffs.

Just got A Slip of the Keyboard by Terry Pratchett. Thoughtful stuff.

Ah, meant to say Three Parts Dead it was I read. Whichever is the first. Wow, those are cheap as ebooks.

SBS on demand has The Handmaid's Tale for free (providing you don't mind the odd ad).
Mike Pence must watch that show with a throbbing erection...

What a journey.
Game of Thrones
Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor.
Thoughts?

I liked the man-bun diss.
All for Whittaker. I hear she's done great work in the past and has worked with the Who showrunner before. And it's making some assholes online cry, so there's that.

That's weird to me. I haven't watched Dr. Who since Tom Baker's days, but they're mad that an alien who can change its appearance to match other species can match either gender of our race?

Holy shit, the trailers out of SDCC today. Fun from Legends of Tomorrow, problematic ST: Discovery, amazing Stranger Things 2, and... well. THOR: RAGNAROK. Seriously. Not too seriously. But seriously, go watch the new trailer now. I'll meet you there.

OMG.
Minimovie/advert. Whew. It's actually not terrible when you take it in the over-the-top-camp context that Dwayne Johnson manages to pull off.

The (trying not to spoil) echoes of the backyard shoveling are devastating.
