Can you imagine if Brad Bird had directed the Star Trek reboot? Man, that would have been a good movie.
Letting slip that he thought the Abrams version was rubbish,

and obviously showing your lack of appreciation of shaking cameras and lens flares.
Not to mention star ships powered by breweries.

Yes, it's really _innovation_ that's powered (indirectly) by breweries.

Unless you don't like "working blue", do see the documentary about Joan Rivers.

What a journey.
We just finished Cowboys and Aliens.
I was surprised at how entertaining it was. It's not bad as a pure western - well with ALIENS.
Kinda reminded me of "Aliens" and "The Arrival" and similar. Daniel Craig was not all bad, either. And I can't complain about TRON-girl. (grrrrrr arrrrr)
And a bit like Super8 as well. Worked for ME.

Yeah, I dug it. Everything that's right about America. Even though Craig is British. Makes me want to go and watch his Bond movies.
Watched Crazy Stupid Love yesterday, which was sweet and funny. It rose above rom-coms by being self-aware and overlapping (or should I say, intersecting) teen and adult relationships. Gosling^H^H^H^H^H^H^HEmma Stone is so HOTT OMG.

I liked Craig in CaA, but I found the movie as a whole boring and implausible (even for the subject).

I had no expectations going into it so I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Craig was surprisingly charming on Colbert -- actually seemed kind of shy and dorky, which was endearing.

DPBD!
WHY WHY WHY!!??!! do movie networks do shit like the following:
http://www.amctv.com/breaking-bad/videos/
Even if I watch videos from season 1 which aired here over two & 1/2 years ago I get this:
Quote
THE VIDEO YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH CANNOT BE VIEWED FROM YOUR CURRENT COUNTRY OR LOCATION
Dear amc fucking asshats - I've spent approx US$80 on your DVD boxsets, for the first three seasons alone. If you want to make sure I only pirate season 4 and don't give you another cent, by all means keep up this practice...

Tony,
I won't defend the specifics of regional rights (it's actually far more complicated and involved an issue than crap like this might indicate) but it's probably not even AMC with the decision on it.
Yes, *someone* deserves your ire (or at least your vehement feedback that says there is a legitimate market if only intermediaries would acknowledge it), but somewhere along the way, either worldwide rights weren't offered or weren't paid for.

Oh, I hear you. I just don't know who to complain to. Whoever has made the decision is silly though, more publicity for the show can only be a good thing.
