All about Leopard on non-apples.

Installed OSX86 on an HP xw6400 workstation this afternoon, took only one extra driver for the nVidia video card to get everything working. Even the fan control works, spinning them down after the OS loads the drivers.
The only thing that's a bit wonky (although much better than when I tried them a year ago) were the Ralink drivers for the D-Link USB wifi adapter.
Kudos for the guys who created this, I now have a quad core Mac Pro.

tliet, how fast is it? sounds wonderful.

It's pretty fast. Mind you, I'm used to a Atom 1.6 Ghz running OS X :-) so a 1.97 QuadCore Xeon is pretty quick in my eyes, but it's a machine that's 18 months old. I got a new CPU for it, but HP has made it impossible to mount any cooling that's not made by them (hint:$$$). It rips through iPhoto pretty fast and it is rock solid. Sleep, video, sound, wifi and FireWire all work. Ethernet doesn't though, but I don't miss it. The thing has 8 gigs of RAM, so I'm happy.

So, my Dell S2409W got delivered today, 24" 16:9 full HD screen for 211 euros delivered. Ridiculous size, can't even see my livingroom anymore when I'm behind it. Great screen for the price.

What a journey.
Does your windmill blade(s) pass between you and the screen, causing viewing issues?

In America, the only respectable form of socialism is socialism for the rich.
That made me laugh ... and that's a big deal, for me.

Traveling as I currently am with my 17" MacBook Pro behemoth, I've been eyeing my stepmother's Dell netbook covetously.

The 10.5.8 upgrade went very well. Just had to reinstall the sound drivers, but I always need to do that. Used Apple's upgrader.
I also found a fix for my net flix streaming error.

Hideously Unnatural
The sourcing on the story is a bit weak, coming from a forum post. It's not really clear yet why Atom support doesn't work. Also, they have broken GMA950 video, which is in many older Macs, including MacBooks and Minis.

I'm just going to stick with 10.5.7 which is rock solid on my Dell mini 9, if only the flash disks for it would come down a bit in price.

I'm on 10.5.8 on my dell, but someone has created a DVD image for snow leopard for my particular model. Downloading now.

Did I miss Apple's releasing the official Bootcamp support for Windows 7? It was supposed to happen by the end of the year. I hope that this isn't another December 73rd situation.
I've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit running pretty well on my MBP (although I have to re-install the audio driver periodically), but I'd like to update the drivers to something official.
