I can't wait to be stuck on a plane for 4 hours next to someone playing SMB.

Wonder why ebay went with fat client? Seems like safari was more than good enough...

Yeah, isn't that eBay app a perfect example of why Apple was worried about releasing the full SDK? Hope this won't usher in an era of site-specific browser apps.

Free app == massive hype == "we are still relevant"...

Super Monkey Ball is the only thing that needed to be an app of all these demos. AP newsreader, eBay, TypePad, all of these ought to be web interfaces, not "thick" client apps, for any real reason besides branding.

Hmm location aware AP news application. CAUTION -- you are in a high crime area, recent reports of personal electroni..... DAMN TOO LATE.

This is completely interminable. An hour of third-party app demos without a single killer app, hardly even anything interesting apart from games. (At least the iPhone is pretty clearly the gaming cell-phone of choice at this point.)

Well, if they DID have a different device larger device to promote, this is the way they'd do it. Cover all this stuff first then say by the way you can see it on this...
Fat lady hasn't sung yet - and maybe won't but we don't know that yet.

Roger

...and now we're seriously spending *keynote* stage time on a single push API? This is pure filler.

Somebody check Lloyd's Registry -- did a cargo ship recently with all the NEW HARDWARE going to Davy Jones Locker? Prepare for stock price to do the same...

Gizmodo reports there "will be no charge for free apps." Good to know.

"repare for stock price to do the same..." If so then buy, right? They WILL release new product at some point.
