What a journey.
Can't be true, imo. Can they really handle the multi-tasking and CPU load of videochat? I don't think so.

Phones have been able to do video calling for ages now, it just sucks major donkey balls. High compression and major energy consumption (not to mention the huge bills) have restricted major adoption till now. If anyone could pull it off, Apple would. It's an established standard, just not implemented well enough.
Sounds like most things they've done for the last couple of years.
However, Remy is probably right, I hadn't read the comments, there's a lot of questions about the legitimacy of these pictures.

Hideously Unnatural
If there were a super-low-power mpeg4 video chipset which could be embedded, it might be possible.

In America, the only respectable form of socialism is socialism for the rich.
Ohhh. Rumor of "Mac Fusion" has hit the pipes... something that's NOT a Pro tower from hell, and NOT an iMac/Mini.
but that's all it is, rumor.

I thought upon seeing the TUAW pictures that maybe it was a virtualization thing (like say apple buys parallels). But no, the little tab on the top says "runs windows under bootcamp" so a) bootcamp isnt going away (yay) and b) Its hardware not software.

Snow Leopard? WTF?

Snow Leopard later this afternoon; iPhone now. An attempt to de-emphasize His Jobsness's role running the company?

Extended iPhone SDK demo kicking things off -- this WWDC seems more, you know, developer-y than the last few have been.

Watching a VP build an app vs paint drying... Which is more mesmerizing?

Hard to tell how boring the SDK demo really is from reading non-dev media accounts: they could be showing off the Holy Grail of IDEs and the Mac rumoristas would still be bored. Not to deny it probably is as boring as they think it is.

Super Monkey Ball with tilt control. Yeah. Can barely retain bladder control over my joy...
